So much has happened this month it barely even feels like June. We were in LA the weekend people started pushing back against ICE. We were at a wedding when the Orange Scourge decided to call in the National Guard. Then the MARINES. And for what? For NOTHING. We were there. LA was not under siege. Protests were peaceable. This was yet another escalation, a new realization of the authoritarian fantasies of our ever-failing administration. How dare Americans try to protect their neighbors, their friends, the rule of law? Due process - it's for EVERYONE.
And the protests that followed? Magnificent. Americans everywhere turning out to take to the streets in solidarity, to push back against the nightmarish overreach and inhumane policies of this corrupt administraiton. No kings, no tyrants. The message couldn't be clearer.
And all the while, this is Pride Month. We're proud of who we are, and our communities. We're a proudly LGBTQIA+ brand, and despite all the challenges PRIDE IS NOT CANCELLED. If anything, it's more important than ever. And from the chaos, we will rise. We will prevail.

We know everything going on lately in the world and especially the US has been pretty terrifying lately, to say the least. Whether it’s the constant stream of human rights violations, illegal tariffs, infuriating our neighbors and allies, or whatever latest fresh horrors spewing from our mad wanna-be-dictator, this is a moment in history that none of us wanted to live. We are scared. And we have chosen to fight back, and use whatever voice we have to sound the alarm. We will not be silenced.
And at least we can channel our outrage into our work; making these shades has been a catharsis, and a colorful record of our passions and fears. Doom Loop was born in chaos, and forged in defiance.
