Hey y’all, Jak from Doom Loop here. As this (insane, tumultuous, nightmarish, absolutely bonkers) year winds down and we’re all getting ready to vote in the midterms (vote vote vote) it all kinda starts to feel deeply disorienting and unreal. It’s been a rough year for so many of us, and for some of us, especially those targeted by this sickening admin, it’s been a downright hell.

It begins to feel like some demented performance. Something rehearsed and presented. Something vain. Something unwell. And just a tiny bit, absolutely ridiculous. 

And it is ridiculous. Absurd even. That’s the infuriating part. We’re all being held hostage, in many ways, watching this nightmarish stage and refusing to clap.

This is the kind of stuff that creeps into one’s mind, this time of this year, and the days grow shorter and the months peel off the wall.
And so with that deeply unsettling and absurd inspiration, we present:

THE SHADOWBOX: MECHANIQUE + THE STRINGS
Something moves behind the curtain. Gears turn. Wires pull taut.

MECHANIQUE is packed with holographic glitter and flakes, creating a dense field of rainbow flashes against a deep black base. 

THE STRINGS is triple thermal shifting through black, navy, and magenta with a hint of blue-purple multichrome shimmer.

You don't need to see the hands to know they're there. Someone is always pulling THE STRINGS.

And, as we approach this election, remember - WE have that power. WE hold the strings.
